CRD Parks protects and manages more than 11,500 hectares of spectacular and easily accessible natural areas in 30 regional parks and trails on southern Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.

Cowichan Valley Regional District Parks
Currently CVRD Parks manages and protects over 140 park sites. Within the District, there are approximately 140 community parks, six regional parks and the 122 kilometre Cowichan Valley Trail, all of which are easily accessible and have lots to offer.

All told, Oceanside is home to eight BC Provincial Parks and five regional district parks. Many other green spaces have been set aside to protect cascading waterfalls, networks of caves, historic homesteads, unique gardens and long sandy beaches
